Merill Apartments

Merill apartments are made up of 1 and 2 Bedrooms in a small complex spread on 3 floors conveniently served with an elevator which has access to all floors.
These apartments have a communal swimming pool with sunbathing area and sunbathing furniture at the backside of the building. The pool measures 8m x 4m.
These self-catering apartments are situated in one of the most tranquil areas of Mellieha known as Santa Maria Estate, which is an area surrounded by residential villas. The Merill Apartments are positioned just in the middle of a lovely valley were one can walk downhill and reach the sea shore and a small pebbled beach with a 10 minute walk from these apartments. They are found about 15 minutes walking distance from the Upper Main Street where one is to find bus stops, shops, super market, catering outlets, banks, pharmacies and anything the village has to offer. A free to use washing machine is available, whilst weekly linen and towel change are also provided to our guests. Free Wi-Fi for all our clients staying within the Merill apartments, and a portable BBQ can be arranged upon demand.
The most popular and largest beach on the Maltese Islands, known as either Mellieha or Ghadira Bay is found just 3kms away. Free road parking is available outside the building and a new bus service also provides transportation from the bus stop nearby the apartments to the main road. From the main road one can catch the bus to Cirkewwa Quay where boats are available to Gozo and Comino.
Airport transfers and car hire can also be arranged at any time of arrival/departure.
Merill Apartments – 1 Bedroom Apartments
A 1 bedroom apartment at the Merill Apartments consists of a spacious main double bedroom, a bathroom, WC and wash hand basin, a corridor a fully equipped kitchen and a combined dining and living area. All of the 1 bedroom apartments have their own terraces which are furnished with tables and chairs for our guests to enjoy their meals outside.
All 1 bedroom apartments are fully air conditioned, which is an optional service and at an extra charge.

Merill Apartments – 2 Bedroom Apartments
Some of our 2 bedroom apartments are facing front which share views of the valley of Santa Maria Estate, whilst other apartments have the view of the swimming pool.
Every apartment has its own balcony with table and chairs for guests to enjoy outside meals. All of these apartments are fully equipped with an air conditioning system, which is optional and at an extra charge. These 2 bedroom apartments consist of main double bedroom with extra WC and wash hand basin, a bathroom with corner shower, twin bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area. Fans, TV, safe deposit box, iron & board, cooker, four ring stove, oven and grill, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle are provided. The apartments are spacious enough to sleep up to 5 persons.

How to arrive at the Merill Apartments
– First please see how arrive in Mellieha from the Malta International Airport
– When arriving at the first Mellieha Roundabout, take second exit on the left.
– Then, take first right (the road before the Petrol Station) and drive all the way down.
– Then you arrive at a crossroad, take the one in the middle (Birwina Road � Triq Il-Birwina), and drive all the way down.
– Then take last left and you arrive in Triq Il-Merill
– Half way through that road and you find 23, Merill Apartments on the right hand side.

Joseph is very nice and accomodating. He has organised our transfers from/to the airport, showed us facilities in Mellieha (supermarket, restaurants, bus stops …) The flat is really well located (quiet place) We have enjoyed our week there
We had a great holiday in Malta and the apartement was very good to stay at. The terrace especially was very nice. We had a car and could explore the whole island having Mellieha as good base. An amazing little place. Great view over the valley, super clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Such a great location too, and being able to take a dip in the pool made this the perfect stay. We’ll definitely be back!
Joseph was brilliant. He arranged for taxis to and from the airport and was at the apartment when we arrived. He gave us a lift to the shop on the first day so we could get all the heavy items. He showed us the best routes to walk to shops and beach He was always available to help, if not in person he was very quick in responding to emails. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Pool was small but lovely and the time we did use it there was only the two of us there. Thanks again.
The place was nice and it was in a quiet and safe area. You could walk to the supermarket, village and to the beach but car would make it lot more easier. The apartment was clean and had enough space for a family. We think that kitchen equipments should be better, soup and carbagebags would have been nice but otherwise the place was as described. Very nice thing was that we got a ride to a supermarket when we arrived. The pool was great!
We spent a week with our 3kids family. Size of apartment is enough for 5pers.family. 1st floor with elevator. We were using kitchen every day – there are gas cooker, microwave, fridge and few kitchen equipment. Safe in bedroom. Payed aircondition – 1€ was for about 2hrs 24°C. Calm street side balcony, but we could see nice fireworks during Maltese celebrations. We did not have time to spend more time by the swimming pool, but for few moments it was relaxing to have thee possibility to use it.
Our family spent ten days in apartment no. 1 in Mellieha at September 2017. Flat was comfortable and clean. Two bedrooms, one kitchen, big bathroom. After few days host exchanged towels and bedding. Last day he arranged our return to airport what was very useful for us. He told us a lot of interesting information about Malta and interesting places. Apartment is situated several hundred meters from bus stop and big supermarket. It is useful to have map of this area because streets are very complicated and very often dead end. The swimming pool is situated behind this appartment and is shared with other. It is not so big (4m x 8m x 1,9m) but it is enough. In kitchen is TV with malta and italian language programs. We used also gas cooker, microwave kitchen and washing machine (situated near swimming pool). Everything worked correctly. It is good place to make trips to other places by foot, by bus or by car. To nearest small beach you must go about 20 minutes. It was nice time, we can recommend this place. Thank you Joe!
